The branding is built around a pixel-based logo, reflecting both analytical rigor and a human-centered approach. I aimed to capture not just a tech-driven mindset, but a vision—one that strengthens Romania’s digital economy by honoring its past (completely stripped of ideology) and pushing toward a future fueled by knowledge and progress.

Rooted in the pixel—the foundation of all things digital—Edge Institute’s visual identity acts as a flexible building block, much like the ideas within a think tank. It’s tech-infused, from symbolism to color, yet avoids a cold, corporate aesthetic. Explore it below.

Beyond the graphic system, to reflect the mission of advancing the digital economy while honoring the past, I looked at authentic Romanian imagery from the 1950s and 1960s. Photographs from this era highlight key moments of technological advancement across different economic and social sectors. By incorporating archival photographs, a strong sense of authenticity is achieved, adding depth to the visual storytelling.
